Internet Marketing Educational Membership Site

I founded and built ElderAcademy.com to teach people Internet Marketing in a hype-free zone. I've developed 10 online Internet Marketing courses, made up of over 40 hours of instructional video. So far the site has enrolled 400+ paid students across the various courses.

Solely responsible for all aspects of developing the website (both front end and back end) as well as recording, editing, and producing all course videos and materials; and marketing the site once built (Primarily Targeted Advertising on Related Sites).

Front End Discussion

I custom built a Wordpress theme from scratch (both the frontend design as well as the backend php code) for the UI of the site. I wrote my own CSS and also pulled some Bootstrap elements. Wistia streams all videos, and Aweber automates Email follow-ups.

Back End Discussion

The site is hosted on a VPS (virtual private server) running Linux Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Apache web server, MySql database for wordpress, and custom PHP coding throughout. Various modified wordpress plugins handle the membership functionality of the site. Amazon Cloudfront CDN pushes all images and static css/javascript files. S2Member Plugin for wordpress handles users.
